Design Overview & Tactical Role

Designed specifically to comply with Japanese civil transit bridge weight restrictions, the Type 10 'Hitomaru' packs phenomenal digital C4I capability into an ultra-agile 44-ton package. Utilizing proprietary nano-crystal steel and high-hardness modular ceramic composites, it boasts equal forward and reverse speeds of 70 km/h thanks to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Combat History & Battle Records

Developed by the Technical Research and Development Institute (TRDI) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to succeed the Type 74 and supplement the heavy Type 90, the Type 10 was deployed across Japan from Hokkaido to Kyushu, engineered seamlessly for rapid deployability across island archipelagos.
