Design Overview & Tactical Role

Though initially rejected by the British War Office, the private-venture Vickers 6-Ton (Mark E) was the most influential tank design of the entire interwar period. Its patented two-wheel articulated bogie suspension provided a revolutionary smooth ride, and its modular turret configurations made it an international bestseller.

Combat History & Battle Records

Purchased by over a dozen nations (Poland, Finland, China, Bolivia, Thailand), the USSR bought a production license and built over 11,000 derivatives as the iconic T-26. Poland re-engineered it with a diesel engine into the 7TP, and Japanese designers drew directly from it for the Type 89.
